Amazon trip

 High Roller Lures trip winner.

On November 16th, 2002, a great adventure began. Roderick Plemmons, who was the winner of the High Roller Lures all expense paid trip to the Rio Negro Lodge, accompanied Roland Martin and crew to fish for peacock bass on the Rio Negro River in the Amazon. This is a world class fishing trip second to none. Rio Negro Lodge, operated by Amazon Tours, was the final destination on the Rio Negro River. This is where the world record peacock bass was caught, weighing 27 lbs.

The 8 day trip was enjoyed by all and a lot of the action was filmed to air on the "Fishing with Roland Martin" TV show in 2003 on OLN TV. Roderick said, "This is a trip that will give me memories for the rest of my life." Judy Martin, Walt Reynolds, Marketing Director for Roland Martin Productions, and Terry Jertberg of High Roller Lures were along to make sure everything went smooth and that all the guests had a great time. Everyone came back to the U.S., stating that they would begin saving immediately for another round of battle with the giant peacocks of the Amazon.
